Vinayak Kamat

Vinayak Kamat – fondly known as Vinoo is an ex-student of CSD was in the school from 1969 to 1974. He writes as under:

"When I had joined the school I was both deaf and dumb. But with the persistent sincere effort of the then Principal Miss Kundatai and vice principal Vijutai and other Marathi teachers including my mother, I am today just deaf and no more dumb.

I coud never pick-up the sign language. When I was able to speak a few words Kundatai asked me to get admitted to a normal school. Even after joining a normal school I was given special tuition by Sandhyatai and Kundatai, so that I could easily grasp my studies. I completed my school and did ITI as an electrician for 2 years and 1 year apprenticeship in Crompton Greaves. At present I am working in BEST Electric Department as Investigation Inspector. I am happily settled with my family. My wife is normal and she takes tuitions, my son is in Std X. I shall never forget my school’s contribution to my life."
