Pratham Bhanushali
“I sit on the cash counter in my Nana’s shop to help him.”
“If odd even rule is applied like Delhi in Mumbai there will be less pollution and the Ozone layer will be protected.”
“Nowadays I do not spend more money because Mummy has to repay her loan.”
These are the ideas and thoughts expressed by Pratham after 5 years of schooling at CSED.
When Pratham first came to school at the age of 3 yrs his parents had a big question mark in front of them about his future. It took quite some time for him to adjust in CSED. But once he settled down, his mother accepted his disability, got a perfectly matched hearing aid, and his mother was trained, there was no looking back for Pratham.
He has acquired age-appropriate language, can comprehend passages on his own, tells news about current affairs. He can communicate with his co-travelers in the local train when he travels from Bhayandar to Mumbai Central every day.
He is an ardent cricket fan. He is the ‘Junior Aryabhatta’ of his class. Now Pratham talks about every sound he hears. His questions are unending. We can see a sea of difference in him – from no sound to words to sentences to reciting poems and now Sanskrit shlokas. He has left his disability far behind.
